Integrating Technology into Classroom Instruction
Course Description
This course introduces how to use technology in the K-12 classroom. Participants are
introduced to "technology basics," how to incorporate hardware tools and software applications
into the classroom effectively, and how to integrate technology into classroom instruction in
reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. Core questions addressed in the
course include:
- What are the most important issues and concerns when
implementing technology in your classroom (or school)?
- How can you infuse theories of learning and models of teaching
into a technology integration plan?
- How do you match specific types of technology tools and
resources and educational software and media to classroom needs, objectives, and
instructional goals?
- How can you design lessons that effectively integrate and
incorporate technology including the Internet?
