Dr. James W. Stigler, CEO
James W. Stigler is Professor of Psychology at UCLA, Director of the TIMSS video
studies, and CEO of LessonLab. He is co-author of two books: The Teaching Gap
(with James Hiebert, Free Press, 1999) and The Learning Gap (with Harold
Stevenson, Simon & Schuster, 1992). Dr. Stigler received his A.B. from Brown
University in 1976, a Master's in Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977,
and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1982.
Before moving to Los Angeles in 1991, he served eight years on the faculty of the
University of Chicago. He has received numerous awards for his research, including
Guggenheim Fellowship in 1989 and the QuEST award from the American Federation of
Teachers in 1995. Dr. Stigler is best known for his observational work in classrooms,
and has pioneered the use of multimedia technology for the study of classroom
instruction.

John C. Super, President
John C. Super is President of LessonLab. A twenty-year veteran in the computer-based
education and training industry, John formerly was Senior Vice President of Strategy
and Business Development for PLATO Learning where he spent approximately fifteen years
in a variety of management positions spanning sales management, marketing, product
management and strategic planning. He is a highly rated and frequent speaker at
education and training conferences throughout North America, at which he often
discusses how educators and businesspeople can work together to build community
partnerships. John is a strong advocate of the role technology can play in helping
ensure learning standards and quality content are fully integrated into every
classroom to meet the unique training and education needs of all students. He earned
his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.

Linda Manuel, General Manager &
Vice President of Business Development & Sales With more than 20
years experience in K-12 and higher education, Linda Manuel focuses on forging
strategic alliances with school districts, associations, universities and other
businesses involved in education. As Executive Vice President of Business
Development and Sales, Linda ensures LessonLab's visibility as a leader in
education and a resource that professionals can rely on to meet their professional
development needs.

Mitch Gordon, Vice President
of Business Development Mitch Gordon is the Vice President of Business
Development at LessonLab where he is responsible for sales and strategic
partnerships. Prior to joining LessonLab, Mitch was the Chief Operating Officer of
Spectria, a division of Rainbow Technologies, Inc. In 1997, he joined InfoCal, a
leading knowledge management I.T. consulting firm, where he brought two years of
consulting experience from Andersen Consulting. At InfoCal, Mitch was Owner and
General Manager and orchestrated an eventual acquisition by Rainbow Technologies.
He earned a B.A. Degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and
an M.B.A. at the University of Southern California.

Tina Hurd, Vice President of
Marketing Tina Hurd brings over 16 years of marketing and strategic
planning experience to LessonLab. As Vice President of Marketing, she is charged
with managing LessonLab's overall marketing, messaging and positioning strategies.
In addition, she also manages LessonLab's interactive web site. A proven marketing
executive, Tina's experience includes senior leadership roles within leading
education organizations and Fortune 100 businesses.

Dr. Lisle Staley, Vice
President of Program Development Lisle Staley is an experienced classroom
teacher who has worked for the past six years at the district level on standards
based systemic improvement. She has an M.A. from UCLA in Educational Psychology and
a Ph.D. from UCLA in Psychological Studies in Education with a focus on Learning
and Instruction. Lisle was the Director of Research and Evaluation in the Santa
Barbara School Districts and has also been a researcher and assessment consultant
at the Center for the Study of Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing at UCLA.
She was most recently the Director of Standards and Assessment for the Santa
Monica/Malibu Unified School District.

Donna Nygren, Vice President
of Program Management Prior to joining LessonLab, Donna had extensive
experience in strategic planning, product positioning and customer care for
professional development training in various industries' including higher
education and adult learning. Her career at LessonLab has included Vice President
of Marketing and interim Vice President of Publishing and currently is responsible
for customer care, student services and operational management of all LessonLab's
higher education programs. Donna has an MBA from the University of California,
Irvine.

Paul Grudnitski, Chief
Technology Officer Paul Grudnitski started his I.T. career with
Burroughs as a Systems Programmer. He was a corporate sales representative at
Inacomp America and later helped start a new computer reseller franchise (Inacomp
of Torrance) where he was Vice President of Sales. In 1994, Paul founded InfoCal
LLC, a leading knowledge management I.T. consulting firm which was later acquired
by Rainbow Technologies in 1999. While at InfoCal in 1996, Paul invented the
so-called "Digital Dashboard" technology, and developed a series of business
process models for implementing Digital Dashboards. In 1999, he engineered the
adoption of this technology by Microsoft, and the use of InfoCal's services to
help develop Microsoft's Digital Dashboard product and marketing campaigns. Paul
received a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Texas.

Dr. Ronald Gallimore, Vice
President of Research Ronald Gallimore, Ph.D. is Chief Scientist,
LessonLab Research Institute., and Distinguished Professor Emeritus at UCLA. For
the book Rousing Minds to Life, Gallimore was presented the 1993 Grawemeyer Award
in Education. In 1993, the International Reading Association presented Gallimore
the Albert J. Harris award. He received in 1992 a University of California
Presidential Award for research contributing to the improvement of public schools.
Gallimore and Stigler directed the 1999 TIMSS Video Study. His research focuses on
improving teaching. His most recent book describes a 30 year investigation of
Coach John Wooden's teaching practices.

Phil Makris, Chief Financial
Officer Phil Makris is a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive
experience in financial and operational management. He has approximately 20 years
experience and has worked in a variety of settings; from public accounting and
start-ups to multinationals with 11 of those years working overseas. Phil has
worked for Price Waterhouse, RJR International, Gillette and art.com. He received
his M.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University and his B.A. in Government
from Connecticut College.

Dr. Elaine J. Roberts, Director of
Higher Education & Program Development Before joining LessonLab, Elaine
J. Roberts, Ph.D. was a full-time college professor who taught writing and literature
in a traditional undergraduate program and taught MIS in an adult degree completion
program. She was also Director of Faculty Development, working closely with faculty
and administration to enhance and improve the teaching skills of the faculty. Prior
to her career as a college professor, Dr. Roberts worked as a programmer/systems
analyst for a number of years and for companies such as Harris Government
Communications Systems Division and Prodigy Services Corporation. She has a B.A. in
English and American Studies, a M.A. in English, and her Ph.D. is in Education with
an emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction.
